how long will it take to transfer flights in Atlanta?
Someone told me that the airport in Atlanta is confusing and I have 45 minutes to get to transfer planes. I would be flying on a Thursday. Thanks

Should be enough time, if you dont dally. I dont find ATL confusing. Just follow the signs.

it's enough time if your flight lands on time. ask directions after you land so you don't waste any time (your luggage will be transferred, too)

the airport is big, with long escalators and a train with about 4-5 stops to get you to the proper areas. Assuming that your plane isnt late and the connecting flight leaves on time...45 minutes is cutting it close, but if you dont dawdle you should make it.

I have been through many airports in the US and some in Europe, Atlanta is the easiest there is, what terminal you come into you follow the signs to the next terminal, if you can take the train, 10 minutes max. to the next terminal, 5 minutes to the gate. if you take the moving sidewalks, 15 min. to the terminal and 5 to the gate. If your plane is not late, you should have plenty of time to stop at starbuck's or micky dees and get coffee and food. just check the displays and make sure your connecting flight hasn't changed terminals or gates.
