International flight via Atlanta.?
I will travel next week from Dubai to Houston. I have to change aircraft in Atlanta. Will I go through customs in Atlanta or will I go through it in Houston? Also, does anyone have an idea which terminal I will be arriving in? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You must pass through customs and immigration at the first US airport you land at, and thus you will go through customs at ATL. There is a customs area in the outermost terminal at ATL (the one furthest from the check in gates, forget the name). There are all kinds of indicators where you need to go once out of customs. ATL is am immense airport, but it has a subway to get between terminals and reasonably good system for flight announcements. You will have to go through Customs and Immigration in Atlanta (I'm so sorry!). Usually, international flights arrive at concourse E. It is very clear which way to go; besides, you can simply follow the crowd. You will first go to Immigration, where your travel documents will be reviewed and stamped. Follow the signs to baggage claim to get your suitcase. Next you go to Customs, where they may or may not want to search your baggage. Then you go to another area to check your suitcase in for the Houston flight. Next you go through security. After that, there should be a wall of television monitors where you will find out which concourse and which gate to go to for your Houston flight. There's an escalator to take you downstairs to the transportation area. The train will take you to the concourse you need. The concourses are T, A, B, C, D, and E. There's not a way to tell you now which concourse your flight to Houston will leave from. However, if it happens to be an ASA flight, then it will probably depart from concourse C. It's much easier than it sounds, but it is very time-consuming. It generally takes me two hours to get out of the airport when I'm coming back from Europe.

You will have to go threw customs and immigration the first airport you land at in the united states. They sometimes announce the gate and terminal in the plane but you may have to wait till you arrive in Atlanta.
