Will I be able to catch my connecting flight in Atlanta?
I'm flying to DC from London next week. However, my flight stops in Atlanta for 1.5 hours before I catch another flight to DC. Now, I've had a connecting flight of 3hrs in the past from london to houston to dallas and I barely made the flight (my luggage didn't arrive till the next day). Also I've heard the Atlanta airport is pretty huge. Any advise?

No question about it, Atlanta is huge. My only experience with that airport was in 2007. I had a one hour layover there and my luggage made it to the connecting flight. There is no way of being able to predict if you will have the same result. I hope things work out for you. Enjoy your trip.

Atlanta is pretty large. My best suggestion would be to run! Run as fast as you possibly can. Try to only bring what you MUST have on the plane so help keep your speed up. I'm not joking. Atlanta is pretty big and you'll ALWAYS end up having your arrival gate and departure gate as far apart as they could get. As far as what is checked, you may want to have some things checked but have your must-haves that don't fit in your carry-on air-freighted so you can be sure it will get there the same time you do. Call your hotel ahead of time (if you're staying at one) and let them know your situation so they don't charge you the night if you do end up missing the flight. Also, let them know you will have a package sent their prior to your arrival (if you end up air-freighting your luggage) so they don't turn it down since you're not physically there. Good luck. Be prepared for a Home Alone 2 type airport scene! lol

The airport is one of the busiest, but they have lots of people working there and the will help you.

As long as all the flights are all on schedule and you don't get lost or distracted in the airport you'll be fine. Go directly to your next gate. Ask for directions if you think you'll get lost.

If your plane arrives on time you'll be fine. Just go directly to your next departure gate and check-in, then go get a drink, something to eat, etc.
